Hvor komfort møder reel indflydelse

At Himmelbjerg, a 1,500 m² kindergarten built in 1990, comfort isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s part of keeping 100 children healthy, rested, and ready to learn.

Together with the municipality, we are turning one of their most used buildings into a quiet, healthy, and energy-smart space - without adding active cooling.

Udfordringen

Two rooms were central to daily life:

• Et soveværelse, hvor støj og træk skulle holdes på et minimum.
• An activity room, where CO₂, heat, and glare often made the indoor climate drift out of balance.

The existing room-wise ventilation system couldn’t keep up.

Himmelbjerg now runs on three Climify layers — all connected, all working for the people inside:‍

1. Overvågning: Højopløselige IEQ-sensorer overvåger temperatur, fugtighed, CO₂, støj, lys og tilstedeværelse i alle rum.

2. Menneskelig feedback:
   
   • Ved hjælp af enkle knapper og vores FeedMe-app kan personalet dele, hvordan de har det: varmt, koldt, indelukket, støjende, trækfuldt, for lyst, for mørkt.
   • Their feedback becomes a live “Comfort ID” that shapes how the system reacts.

3. Handling og kontrol: We control two new Panasonic room-wise ventilation systems and the external shutters installed in late 2025. Together,they:
   
   • Hold CO₂-udledningen lav og støjniveauet nede
   • Reducer blænding under leg
   • Pre-cool rooms in the early morning to avoid overheating
   • Balancér luftstrømmen under søvnen for at få stille, frisk luft
   • Tilpas indstillingsværdier automatisk ud fra brugerkomfort

Intelligent ventilation i stedet for aktiv køling

With weather forecasts and predictive control, the building cools itself ahead ofwarm days by using ventilation and exterior blinds — keeping temperatures stable without installing a cooling unit.

This is digital retrofit in action.

Tidlige resultater

Based on the baseline and first interventions, the kindergarten is on track to meet its project goals:

• 20 % mindre støj i åbningstiden.
• 25 % forbedring i termisk tilfredshed.
• Full AT and BR18 compliancy.
• Avoided installation of active cooling.
• Room-by-room indoor climate improvements with measurable gains for both staff and children.
