Mobile App – Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the CLIMIFY mobile application (the “App”) made available by CLIMIFY ApS and its wholly owned subsidiary CLIMIFY Operations ApS (together, “CLIMIFY”, “we”, “us”).

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the CLIMIFY website (www.climify.com), the CLIMIFY Hub available at app.eu.climify.com, or CLIMIFY’s core SaaS services provided under a customer contract. Those services are governed by separate privacy policies, terms of service, and data processing agreements.

CLIMIFY acts as data controller for personal data processed through the App.

Scope and Purpose of the App

The App is an optional tool intended to:

• display indoor climate information (e.g. CO₂ levels) for rooms the user is associated with;
• provide optional notifications or alerts;
• support research, pilot projects, or voluntary user interaction.

The App is not a core CLIMIFY service, is not required to use CLIMIFY’s SaaS platform, and is not sold as a standalone product.

Personal Data We Process

Depending on usage, the App may process the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: name, email address;
• Device data: device type, operating system, app version;
• Notification data: device identifiers necessary for push notifications;
• Usage data: app interactions, timestamps, basic diagnostics;
• Location context: association with a building or room (not precise geolocation).

The App does not process special categories of personal data.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), e.g. for notifications;
• Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), where applicable;
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as improving app stability and security.

You may withdraw your consent at any time via device or app settings.

Use of Firebase and Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase services, including:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications);
• Firebase Analytics (app performance and stability), where enabled.

These services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, such transfers are safeguarded by:

• the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs);
• additional technical and organisational measures.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to:

• operate the App;
• provide notifications;
• comply with legal obligations.

Users may request deletion by uninstalling the App or contacting CLIMIFY.

User Rights

You have the right to:

• access your personal data;
• request rectification or deletion;
• restrict or object to processing;
• withdraw consent at any time;
• lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be made available in the
App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
